Frequently asked questions
Does my data sync through iCloud?
No. Furiko keeps your data on your devices only, with no iCloud sync and no account. Data on your iPhone is included in your own device backups.
How do I move my setlists to a new iPhone?
Restore from an iCloud or computer backup, or use Quick Start, and your data comes along. You can also export a setlist as a .furiko file from its share menu and open it on the new phone. The ZIP from Settings → Data includes a .furiko file for every setlist.
Can my family use it?
Yes. Furiko supports Family Sharing, so people in your Family Sharing group can download it from the App Store at no extra cost.
What do bandmates need to open my setlist?
They need Furiko on their iPhone. Opening the .furiko file or scanning the QR code with the Camera shows a preview, then adds the setlist. Received setlists play as they are; to edit one, tap Copy to My Setlists first.
Which Apple Watch do I need, and how do I install it?
An Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later (Series 6, SE 2nd generation, Ultra and newer), paired with your iPhone. After installing Furiko on your iPhone, install the watch app from the App Store on your watch or from the Watch app on your iPhone. If automatic app install is on, it appears by itself. The watch app also works on its own, without your iPhone nearby.
Does it keep tapping when I lower my wrist?
Yes. Once started, it keeps going with your wrist down and the screen off, for up to 60 minutes per session, which is the watchOS limit. Near the end, the watch taps three times and asks if you want to continue; raise your wrist and tap for another 60 minutes. You need to start it with Furiko in front (raise your wrist and tap), and the beat stops if you switch to another app on the watch.
The haptics feel too weak. What can I do?
Apple Watch haptics have a hardware limit. In the Watch app on your iPhone, go to Sounds & Haptics and turn on Prominent Haptic. Wear the band one notch tighter or on the inside of your wrist, and use Haptic Test in Furiko on the watch to pick the clearest style. If you need a very strong pulse, a dedicated vibrating metronome device will suit you better.
The watch and iPhone are out of sync.
Turn on Watch follows iPhone in Furiko's settings on your iPhone, press start on the iPhone, then open Furiko on the watch. If the watch feels early or late, adjust Earlier/Later in the watch app's settings, in 5 ms steps. For Bluetooth headphone delay, use Sound & Haptics → Tap calibration in the metronome.
The tuner doesn't respond, or the reading jumps around.
Check that the microphone is allowed in Settings → Furiko on your iPhone. Move closer to the instrument, or use a clip-on mic or USB audio interface. In a loud rehearsal room, lower the input sensitivity in the tuner settings. Also check that A4 matches your ensemble, such as 440 or 442.
How do I delete my data?
Delete setlists, presets and practice entries in the app, or delete the app to remove everything on that device. We have no server, so your data isn't kept anywhere else.
